The service
Spore is a transactional email API: DKIM signing, SPF and DMARC verification, bounce handling, suppression lists, webhooks, templates and unsubscribes. The service is available at sporee.fr, app.sporee.fr and api.sporee.fr.
Usage conditions are set out in the terms of service and the acceptable use policy.
Hosting
The service and its data are hosted in France, on infrastructure operated by French companies:
- OVH SAS — 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France. Hosting of the Kubernetes cluster, the PostgreSQL database and the sending servers (MTA)
smtp.sporee.frandsmtp2.sporee.fr. - Scaleway SAS — 8 rue de la Ville-l'Évêque, 75008 Paris, France. Container image registry and technical secrets manager only, excluding any customer or recipient personal data.
Technical observability (metrics, logs, traces) runs on Skalpai, deployed on the same infrastructure inside the cluster. No third-party observability provider is involved.
Your data and your recipients' data are processed and stored exclusively in France and the European Union. The only outbound flow concerns payment processing, described below.
Personal data
For your account data, we act as data controller. The controller is Sylvain Lapart, publisher of the service, reachable at contact@sporee.fr.
The data processed on that basis is limited to what the service requires: account email address, billing information, declared sending domains, API keys and technical access logs. It is processed to provide the service, on the basis of performance of our contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR), and to meet our accounting and tax obligations (art. 6.1.c).
Account data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship and then deleted. Accounting records are kept for ten years under art. L. 123-22 of the French Commercial Code.
By contrast, for your recipients' data and the content of the messages you send us, you are the controller and we act as processor, under the data processing agreement.
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection. To exercise them, write to contact@sporee.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the competent supervisory authority (cnil.fr).
Sub-processors
The following providers act as processors within the meaning of art. 28 GDPR:
- OVH SAS (France) — hosting of the service, the database and the sending servers
- Mollie B.V. (Netherlands) — payment and billing processing
No card data passes through or is stored on our servers. Mollie B.V. is established in the Netherlands: payment processing involves no transfer of data outside the European Union. No message content and no recipient address is shared with it.
Scaleway SAS is not a processor within the meaning of art. 28: its services process no customer or recipient personal data (see Hosting).
Cookies
The service sets only cookies strictly necessary for its operation: session and authentication. No advertising cookie and no third-party tracker is set. Details are in the cookie policy.
Intellectual property
All content of the site and the service (text, graphics, software, logos, trade marks, databases, documentation) is protected by copyright and intellectual property law. Any reproduction or representation, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written authorisation.
The content of the messages you send through the service belongs to you. You are responsible for holding the necessary rights over that content.
Liability
The service delivers messages to destination servers we do not control. Acceptance, classification or rejection of a message by the recipient server is that server's decision alone. Our deliverability commitment is an obligation of means, never of result: see the corresponding article of the terms of service.
Reporting unlawful content
Any abuse observed in the use of the service — unsolicited mail, phishing, impersonation, manifestly unlawful content — can be reported to abuse@sporee.fr. How reports are handled is set out in the acceptable use policy.
Consumer mediation
If you are a consumer and a written complaint to us has not been resolved, you may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator we are registered with:
